Steve Laiderman
Steven M. Laiderman, JD, LLM

Steven M. Laiderman is an attorney who limits his practice to estate and business planning. His practice includes trust, estate and tax planning, general business planning, real estate transactions, Medicaid and VA pension eligibility planning, and estate, trust and probate administration. His business planning focuses in the areas of entity creation, tax and succession planning, and representation in the purchase and sale of businesses. His real estate business focuses on representing clients in the negotiation of leases, and the purchase and sale of real estate. 

Steve is a frequent speaker. He presents more than 30 educational seminars each year to insurance and financial planning professionals, as well as the general public. For over 15 years he has presented monthly seminars to insurance and financial planning professionals for continuing education credit.  Steve also teaches Estate Planning and Drafting and Family Wealth Management classes as an adjunct professor to graduate tax law students at The Washington University School of Law. 

Steve has contributed to the estate planning book, Protecting Your Estate, published by McGraw Hill, Inc. He is also a contributing author of the business planning book, Strictly Business, published by Quantum Press, a co-author of How to Protect Your Family's Assets from Devastating Nursing Home Costs: Medicaid Secrets (2011 and 2012 Missouri editions), a contributing author of Being in Business is a Funny Thing – Getting Out is Not! A Business Owner’s Guide to Growing & Transitioning the Business, published by Collaborative Press, LLC 2011, and a contributing author of Put Your Money Where Your Heart Is, Including Faith and Values in Your Financial and Estate Planning, published by Collaborative Press, LLC 2012. 

Steve is married and has four children, and four perfect grandchildren. He received his BSBA degree in General Business from the University of Missouri Columbia, his law degree in 1981 from Washburn University and a Masters in tax law from Washington University in 1988. Steve is the principal of The Laiderman Law Firm, P.C. He is a long time member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and a founding member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys. Steve has been licensed to practice law in Missouri, Illinois and Florida for over 34 years. Steve is a member of the Missouri Bar, the Florida Bar, the Illinois Bar, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, and the Estate Planning Council of St. Louis. Listed in Martindale Hubbell as AV-rated, the top rating for attorneys.

 
Janet L. Maltagliati, Attorney
Janet L. Maltagliati, Attorney

Janet L. Maltagliati practices predominately in the area of Estate Planning. The goal of her practice is to assist clients in achieving their hopes, dreams and desires through their estate plans. She personally meets with her clients to design and implement plans that achieve their goals and protect their loved ones.

Janet is married, has three daughters, and a granddaughter. She is a native of St. Louis. She attended Southeast Missouri State University, where she graduated summa cum laude in 1984 with a B.A. in Business Administration. She went on to obtain her Juris Doctor Degree from St. Louis University School of Law in 1987.

Janet is  a member of the Missouri Bar and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. Janet is also a member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys. The Network has members located throughout the United States. The purpose of the Network is to expand the estate planning knowledge and expertise of its members in order to better serve the needs of their clients.

 
Lindsey Weinberg
Lindsey E. Weinberg, Attorney

Lindsey E. Weinberg joined The Laiderman Law Firm in 2018, continuing the concentration of her law practice in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration, and general corporate matters. She truly enjoys these practice areas for the relief that it provides to individuals and families in knowing that their loved ones will be taken care of and their planned wishes will be fulfilled. Lindsey previously served as a Staff Attorney for the St. Louis County Circuit Court and as a Contract Attorney for a major company in St. Louis. Lindsey graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2013. In 2010, Lindsey received a B.S. in Business Administration as well as a B.A. in International Studies from the University of Missouri, Columbia. In her undergraduate years, Lindsey spent time living abroad in Paris, France, studying the French language and art history. Lindsey is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois. She is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys.

Joseph G. Ilges, Attorney

Joseph G. Ilges joined The Laiderman Law Firm in 2010. He is an attorney who limits his practice to estate planning and elder law. His practice includes trust, estate and tax planning, general business planning, Medicaid and VA pension eligibility planning, special needs planning, estate, trust, and probate administration, as well as guardianship and conservatorship matters. Joe has a special emphasis on providing counsel to seniors and individuals with special needs on a wide-range of legal issues, including the use of government benefits to aid in meeting or paying for care needs and other associated costs.

Joe graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2004, and received a B.A. in Political Science in 1993 and a B.A. in history in 1997 from Saint Louis University.  Before attending law school Joe worked in both the healthcare and non-profit sectors, where he dealt with many issues affecting seniors. His time spent providing outreach and education to the community, as well as healthcare professionals while working for a non-profit reinforced Joe’s desire to assist seniors, their legal representatives and caregivers negotiate the unique challenges that arise during the aging process.

Joe is also a co-author of How to Protect Your Family's Assets from Devastating Nursing Home Costs: Medicaid Secrets (2011 and 2012 Missouri editions). Joe presents educational seminars and continuing education to a wide-range of professionals, as well as the general public, on a regular basis.

Joe is licensed to practice law in Missouri and is an accredited VA attorney. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, Elder Counsel, and the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys.
